Wanted: volunteer co-ordinator

We’re looking for a temporary volunteer co-ordinator to help make sure that we have enough volunteers to cover guiding, stewarding and other jobs like serving refreshments and selling merchandise on our open days in 2014.

The job is shared with another volunteer and requires the following commitments:?

• keeping track of windmill open days (generally one weekend a month from April to September plus special events) and checking the doodle calendar to make sure enough volunteers have come forward to cover those days?
• sending a reminder email and sometimes making a couple of phone calls if there are not enough volunteers?
• liaising with the FoWG chair, who organises the rota?
• encouraging volunteers to provide home-baked cakes for the open days.

This takes no more than a couple of hours a month – and you can always call on the job sharer to help out. Full induction will be provided.

This is a good opportunity for a Friend/volunteer who wants to try out their planning skills! No experience required.
