Trustee Recruitment

Trustee roles x 3

Due to the planned departures of three existing Board members, we are now looking for three new Trustees. As well as fully contributing to the FoWG Board, we would like each of the new Trustees to fulfil one of the following roles, which we have identified either as current gaps or future needs due to succession planning:

  • Development of external partnerships

  • Funding and income generation

  • Future Board Secretary.

We would also like one of these roles to provide the organisation with some IT expertise.

For each of these roles, we are looking for people with relevant experience gained through either their personal or professional careers. You do not need to have prior experience of being a Trustee, however an understanding of the work of the Friends of Windmill Gardens and commitment to its aims – as well as being able to allocate the time and effort to being an effective Trustee – are essential. Please see the attached role descriptions for further information.

If you want to make a difference to a small but successful Charity that combines history and heritage with community outreach and volunteer management, this could be the role for you! As a Community Interest Organisation, we are keen that our Board reflects the local community and we therefore welcome applications from a diverse pool of candidates.
