Lambeth Archives Open Day, this Saturday, 29 September
Friends of Windmill Gardens and other local history groups and societies will have stalls at Lambeth Archives Open Day in the Minet Library. This year’s theme is ‘What has local government ever done for us? Local councils in Lambeth and their legacy’. Admission is free and as usual there will be a programme of talks, film screenings and an exhibition of archives. The event runs from 10am to 5pm and among the topics to be covered are public spaces and parks, sewage and waste disposal, civic architecture, libraries, housing and health.
