Welcome to new staff

Two new part-time staff are being employed to help develop the new Brixton Windmill Centre, thanks to funding from Power to Change.
Business Development Manager Lucy Bridal (left) starts work on 9 December. Lucy says:
“Having originally trained as an archaeologist, I have spent the past 10 years in heritage building management and development, ranging from an Iron Age hill fort to the Duke of Wellington’s home. Being based in a grade I listed arts education venue more recently, I enjoy working with the community to explore heritage sites in new ways and am very much looking forward to all of the opportunities the windmill and new education and visitor centre has to offer. It’s a bonus that I love to bake!”
Project Administrator Mags Di Ceglie (right) started work on 4 November. Mags says:
“Having studied Italian and Theatre at UCL and the Dams University in Rome, I have been working in music, entertainment and television production and studio management for the past 15 years. Career highlights include working with Sir Paul McCartney, Amy Winehouse and more recently for Spotify with Justin Timberlake.
“I grew up in south east London and have strong links to the community, especially through music. I am lead guitarist and vocalist in local band Casino Moon, who recently headlined Clapham Oxjam Festival as well as playing at the Lambeth Country Show 2019 and at the Southbank’s Meltdown Festival (curated by Robert Smith).
“I am very much looking forward to working with my local community in the new education centre and to my new daily grind!”
The Friends are looking forward to working with both Lucy and Mags – you will see them around the new centre when it opens early next year.
