New interpretation boards

We’re delighted that new interpretation boards have been installed on the wall near Brixton Windmill in Windmill Gardens.

The three boards give a brief history of the windmill, show a 19th-century photo of the building before the original sails were removed in 1864, and give details of its construction, interior and restoration campaign.

The boards will provide information and background for visitors who arrive when the windmill is closed. Many thanks to Lisa Rigg and Easy Tiger for the work they did in putting them together.
