Join the Brixton Windmill Board of Trustees

Trustee Roles

The Friends of Windmill Gardens is looking for two new volunteer trustees to help shape the future of Brixton Windmill and Windmill Gardens.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the board of the charity that cares for London’s last working windmill, supports a thriving community hub and helps maintain one of Brixton’s most loved green spaces.

We are currently recruiting for two trustee roles:

Trustee – Marketing & Comms

Help us tell the story of Brixton Windmill, grow our audiences and strengthen our communications across digital, print and community channels.
This role is ideal for someone with experience or enthusiasm in marketing, communications, PR, social media or audience development.

Trustee – Park & Environment

Support the ongoing care, improvement and sustainability of Windmill Gardens and the surrounding environment. We are looking for someone passionate about green spaces, conservation, biodiversity or community-led environmental projects.

As a trustee, you’ll work alongside a friendly and committed team helping guide the strategic direction of the charity and support its long-term sustainability. Trustees meet regularly and contribute their skills, ideas and enthusiasm to support the organisation’s mission.

Whether you already have trustee experience or are looking to take on your first board role, we’d love to hear from people who care about heritage, community and the future of Brixton Windmill.
