Green Flag for Windmill Gardens

This year Windmill Gardens has achieved another Green Flag award – once more the contributions our gardening volunteers make to ensure the park is looking beautiful and cared for have been recognised by this national award scheme. We’d like to thank all our FoWG gardeners – it’s been particularly difficult this year with the heat and drought conditions.

After receiving a Community Green Flag award since 2015, this year we’ve received a full Green Flag Award. The awards recognise the commitment of Lambeth Council staff, residents, volunteers, friends’ groups and community partners.  They protect, improve and maintain the borough’s parks and open spaces so they are safe, welcoming, accessible, sustainable and well cared for. The awards are made annually, and winners must apply each year to renew their status.
