FoWG receives three-year grant from City Bridge Trust, the City of London Corporation’s charity funder.

FoWG will work in partnership with Share Community and Urban Canopy to deliver gardening workshops in Windmill Gardens from 2023 to 2026

We are pleased to announce we have received £30K of funding for three years to deliver gardening workshops for adult members of Share Community together with members of FoWG’s community club and our volunteer gardeners. Workshops will be facilitated by Urban Canopy who will work with participants to create a new sensory garden, improve planting at the park entrance and develop new vegetable planters. There’ll be time to work together to learn new skills and develop confidence in team working whilst enjoying being outside in the park. Our first sessions will start in September and the project continues until 2026.

Chair of Trustees, Toussainte Reba said  “we are really excited to be able to build on our relationship with Share Community together with being able to improve areas of the park for all Windmill Gardens visitors. Thank you to City Bridge Trust for enabling us to expand our work with two excellent local organisations – Share Community and Urban Canopy.”
