The Windmill Lecture this year looks at the subject of milling. How the Brixton-based milling business established by John Ashby in 1816 survived until 1934 and how FoWG volunteers have been milling flour once again since 2014.
Join us as we discuss this history of milling at Brixton Windmill, how our millers produce Brixton flour in 2022 and how flour production might change in the future. FoWG speakers will be joined by heritage wheat growers and artisan bakers. There will be time for questions at the end of the talk.
