September Festivals Open Weekend
Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September, 1pm to 5pm
Free drop in guided tours of the windmill plus story telling and art workshops.
We don’t offer full bookable tours during our September Open Weekend as we are taking part in Lambeth Heritage Festival, Open House and Heritage Open Days Festivals. Instead you can drop in for free short tours to the first floor of the mill.
Creative Workshops and Storytelling Sessions
Saturday Art Workshop
Join artists Rory & Kate on Saturday between 1.30pm and 4.30pm to take part in a collaborative collage “Feeding the City”. Work together to create a large artwork tracing the journey of wheat from farm to bakery.
Sunday Storytelling
On Sunday Olivia Armstrong will tell untold stories of the mill and the people who worked here (2pm, 3pm and 4pm). Olivia’s story session is aimed at everyone from 4 to 94 and introduces the lives of the people who worked at Brixton Windmill.
