Gong With The Windmill
Tuesday 21 October, 10.30am
£5 or pay what you can
Drop in – no booking required. Spaces are limited – please arrive 10 minutes before the session starts.
Take a mindful pause in your day with a calming sound bath at Brixton Windmill Centre. Led by Dom Franiel-Goodsell from Sound Rescue, this immersive session uses soothing sound vibrations to support deep relaxation, ease stress, and help restore focus and creativity.
What is a sound bath?
A sound bath is a meditative experience where you’re gently ‘bathed’ in waves of sound from instruments such as gongs, chimes and singing bowls. These rich, resonate tones encourage the body and mind to soften and let go, creating space for stillness and calm.
What to bring
To help you feel comfortable while lying down, please bring anything you might need – such as an exercise or yoga mat, a light blanket, a small cushion, or an eye mask. Chairs will also be available if you prefer to sit.
Please arrive 5–10 minutes early settle in before the session begins.
Is this session suitable for everyone?
Sound baths are generally safe and beneficial for most people. However, they are not recommended for:
- Individuals with pacemakers
- People with epilepsy
- Those who are highly sensitive to sound
- Women in the first trimester of pregnancy
If you wear a hearing aid, we suggest switching it off for the session.
This is a pay-what-you-can event – contributions are welcome but not required. All proceeds will go back to the Brixton Windmill Centre.
We look forward to welcoming you.
