Lambeth Walk View

Annual Talk – The 12 Windmills of Lambeth

The 12 Windmills of Lambeth – Then and Now
Wednesday 10 September, 7.15pm (doors open 6.45pm)

Please note this event is now FULLY BOOKED – if you haven’t reserved a place we can’t guarantee you a seat. You are still welcome to come along but we’ll need to ask you to wait until reserved spaces are taken.

Brixton is the sole survivor but there were others, not just for milling flour to feed an expanding population, but sawing to supply timber yards along the banks of the Thames and the manufacture of medicines. In this talk our Chair of Trustees Nicholas Weedon explores where they stood, what they did, and what stands in their place today.

The talk is part of the Lambeth Heritage Festival Programme. More details of the programme can be found here.

Doors open at 6.45pm and refreshments will be available. Our shop will also be open.
