A very wintery Winter Market
We had a fabulously festive Winter Market yesterday (Sunday 11 December). A big thank you to all our volunteers for making the day so special. Around 100 children visited Father Christmas in the windmill grotto which looked magical. Thanks to this year’s Father Christmas and Elf helper for fitting Brixton Windmill into their busy schedule. Kids Kreate ran craft workshops to keep families entertained – thank you to them too.
We had a range of music throughout the day which kept us all feeling very festive. Thanks to the Windmill Singers, Longfield Voices and the Three Festive Violins for keeping us cheerful in the cold!
Our wreath making workshops were really popular – thank you to Marcelle and Penny for making them so enjoyable. Everyone who participated went home with a beautiful home made wreath for their door.
And thanks to our stall holders for turning out too – here’s Clarkshaw’s Brewery looking very cheerful in those freezing conditions.
Our shop was really busy and our cafe did a roaring trade in mulled wine and hot chocolate. Thanks again to everyone for making the day such a success!
