We are currently planning the staggered return of our activities in line with the Government’s Roadmap over the coming months and will continue to update any changes regularly here.
We are delighted to announce that we will be welcoming everyone back to the Windmill from the end of this month with our first Open Weekend taking place on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th May.
Windmill tours will be subject to social distancing measures and we are continuing to run a restricted programme of tours to the third floor only. Tours can be booked on our event pages here: Events
Our popular walks in the Brixton Hill area are guided by London Blue Badge Guide Liz du Parcq also return on the Sunday of each Open Weekend for which more information can be found here: Guided walks
As of 12th April, our weekly tai chi sessions and monthly gardening sessions resumed in line with government guidelines. Spaces are limited for both of these activities to ensure social distancing and so you must book your place in advance by emailing email@example.com
The pop-up café at Brixton Windmill Centre is open weekdays offering takeaway only from 2-4pm and on Saturdays from 11am – 1pm.
Our online shop continues to operate with the full range of Brixton Windmill merchandise available and Brixton Windmill Flour can be purchase at the Centre during café opening hours.
Our volunteer millers are continuing to produce flour while observing the government guidance on social distancing. All flour we produce is delivered safely by our volunteers to our established retail outlets, including local shops that remain open to customers and those that are closed to the public but provide home deliveries of groceries. We also continue to make regular donations of Brixton Flour to two local food banks.
We wish to thank all of our supporters for their understanding and patience during this difficult time for everyone and take the opportunity to reflect on what we can deliver moving forward.
