DESCRIPTION:Harvest Time at Brixton Windmill\nSunday 27 September 1pm to 5pm \nOur free family festival celebrates the annual wheat harvest and the histories and crafts of milling and artisan bread making with craft workshops,  live music, food, Morris dancing, and more.  Workshops for children include baking and traditional corn dolly making. Our shop and cafe will be open together with milling demonstrations inside the windmill. \nThe day includes:\nLearn about wheat!\nMilling Demonstrations: 1.45pm to 4.15pm (book a free place on the day – visit our milling desk outside the windmill)\nLearn all about the growing, harvesting, and milling of the wheat, grain and flour that makes your favourite bakes such as cakes, biscuits, breads and more! You can even have a go at milling yourself with our hand querns! Our millers will also be demonstrating milling inside the windmill – drop in tours will be available during the afternoon. \nShop and cafe\nOpen throughout the afternoon selling uniquely designed Brixton Windmill products and freshly baked homemade cakes made with our very own flour plus hot drinks, wine and Pimms. \nAnd lots more:\n\nChildren’s baking workshops – hedgehog buns at 1.30pm and 3pm (max 8 children 7 to 12) £4 per child. Sign up in advance at our shop. \nGuided Walk of Brixton Hill – 1pm start from near the Windmill (Tickets must be booked in advance ( https://www.brixtonwindmill.org/product/guided-walk/ )).\nLive music from SELFolk, Windmill Voices,  Funkoda and Brit Pop Folk Orchestra\n\nMorris Dancing from Brixton Tatterjacks (3.30pm in Family Field)\nChildren’s arts and crafts \nCorn dolly making workshops & autumn crowns\nBeer from Clarkshaws Brewery\nBread and pastries from BreadBread\nCakes from Emily Hunt cakes\nHot food from En Root and Deuce\nStalls including Bee Urban, RSBP, history societies and gifts\n\n
