DESCRIPTION:Saturdays, 11.30am to 12.30pm\nPay what you can\nThe weekly tai chi classes are every Saturday from 11.30am-12.30pm, led by experienced local tai chi instructor Anna-Marie Franklin.\nThe programme includes many varied practices from tai chi and qi gong to prepare the body, mind and breath for the practising of the tai chi yang style long form. Whilst gently stimulating and lubricating the joints, this practice enables the student to cultivate their awareness of efficient movement around a central axis, thereby minimising unnecessary load on the joints.\nStudents can expect to enhance strength and vitality, and acquire a quality of calm breath awareness.\nClasses are open to all levels of ability – no previous experience necessary. All ages welcome. Loose, warm clothing and light footwear advisable.\nWe ask for a small donation to pay the teacher, payable on the day.\nThe class is held outdoors in the park where participants are able to spread out.\n
