A unique mill in the heart of London

"Beautifully restored - reminds me of childhood visits to East Anglian windmills". Paul Crowley, visitor

Brixton Windmill is now closed for the winter. It will reopen for visits at Easter 2016.

  • Please sign our petition to prevent the education programme at Brixton Windmill from grinding to a halt!
  • Santa returns to his unique grotto in Brixton Windmill on Saturday 19 December. As well as telling him what's on your Christmas wish list, you can make Christmas cards and decorations and keep warm with mulled wine.
  • We're thrilled to announce that Brixton design duo Eley Kishimoto have agreed to be our creative ambassador for our bicentenary year in 2016. They already have some wonderfully original ideas for our celebrations!
  • Read about our training session for volunteer millers, when the stones in Brixton Windmill ground flour for the first time in 80 years. The video below was shot by London Live, who sent a camera crew to record the momentous occasion!

We now have our own YouTube channel, where you can see other videos about Brixton Windmill.
